Looking in vain for RV workshop attendees

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

I wasn’t able to attend Joe McMoneagle’s RV workshop at the Rhine today. I couldn’t commit the money and the Rhine didn’t need as a volunteer. I also thought long and hard about whether attending the workshop a second time around would have the kind of impact the first time did.

Still, half the value of the last workshop was meeting other remote viewers. I had extended an invitation to meet up with any TKR pepole who might be at the workshop. Amazingly, it fell on deaf ears: no one responded to my post. Was anybody going?

Last night I decided to hang out in the hotel bar in the hopes of meeting other RVers who were there for the workshop. While I downed my hamburger and beer I saw Joe stroll past the bar area. He didn’t see me when I waved and I opted not to chase him down. My guess is he was on his way to meet people for dinner.

I spent the next hour or so on the lounge area’s couch, looking around for potential workshop attendees but didn’t see any obvious choices. My mission unaccomplished, I was home by 9.

A flight to … nowhere?

Early this morning I was awakened by the sound of thunder. A slow-moving thunderstorm – the kind unique to the summertime – rolled above our home, waking me out of a deep sleep. As I half-dozed to the sound of lightning bolts crashing around me, I decided to play with my consciousness a bit.

“Ok,” I said to myself. “Let’s try a projection.

Details on Joe McMoneagle’s workshop at the Rhine

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

As I mentioned earlier,???????? remote viewer Joseph McMoneagle will be holding a workshop at the Rhine Center this month.

I went to one two years ago and was blown away. Its pricey but definitely worth it!

Here are the details of the one-day workshop:

Remote Viewing with Psychic Spy Joe McMoneagle

Alleged alien filmed in Nebraska

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

A man from Nebraska held a press conference Friday featuring a video purporting to be of an extraterrestrial looking through his window. Stan Tiger Romanek claims he took the video on July 17, 2003, after suspecting a peeping tom was looking in at his daughters.

After listening to Romanek’s claims during his interview with George Noory, I have to say I’m extremely skeptical. He claims he cannot release the video because experts are still verifying it. If he took the video in 2003, why does would experts still be reviewing it five years later? Also, he says he was jumped by four “clean-cut” strangers and told to “shut up.” Does he have proof this attack occurred? Any photographs of his injuries or even better: a police report?

Obviously, I don’t doubt the existence of life on other planets: the universe is far too vast to rule it out. Still, the old saw “extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof” certainly holds true here. If Romanek would like to share the video and provide more evidence, I’ll be happy to take him more seriously. Until then his story is nothing more than an interesting tale.

Update: Larry King asks the same questions of Romanek, who repeats the same “need time to validate” answer but doesn’t offer further explanation.

A book brings important beliefs to the surface

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

I woke up after a fitful night of sleep realizing I had uncovered a belief I’d been carrying around since my teen years. Its a belief (actually a fear) that people will figure out I’m not as smart as they think I am. I’ve felt the need since the second grade (at least) to show how smart I am. The belief is of course that I am not as smart as people think I am, thus I am unworthy of their praise.
