An idea I have for recording EVP involves using parabolic microphones: like the kind you see on the sidelines of football games. I would think these would be able to pick up sound waves while avoiding electrical interference. Both are logarithmic in nature but the plastic dish will only amplify the sound waves (assuming sound waves are being used here and not something else entirely).

Ah well. It’s much easier being an armchair quarterback/ghost hunter!

When it was all over we sat down to transcribe it. When the recording began, she was sitting in her rocker-recliner, a small asian woman who was talking very quietly to the people in the room. Although we knew she’d been extremely quiet (we were there after all), you could hear her very clearly on the recording, the lapel mike worked well.

And then suddenly electronic noise — major hiss — hit, just at the moment when “they came through” as she might have put it. After that, she had been talking in a booming, very loud voice — but you couldn’t much hear it on the tape. We turned it up, we listened carefully, but it sounded like the booming voice was waaaaay off on Mars — we couldn’t even transcribe it; the interference was much too strong.

So in that case, the bizarre and terrible quality of the recording wasn’t about a problem with the equipment quality. The actual EFFECT of the thing being recorded caused distortion in the electronic field.

Well it was a nice idea.

I’ve heard electronic voice phenomenon just once. This was also back during my skeptic days, in fact I was brought along on this outing pointedly because of that. I can’t speak to its reality or not. I can only say that it had a rather fascinating anomaly with me. I heard it, sitting in someone’s house, on their reel-to-reel tape recorder they’d taken to some late-night seance outdoors. It was disturbing in how low-pitched it was but it seemed to be very slow is why. When I walked outside the front door to mention it to my friend, I suddenly forgot what it had said. So I went back indoors and asked to hear it again. When I left the house, it left my brain. I was laughing about that now, and I went back again, taking my friend in with me. I heard it again, and felt totally certain I wasn’t going to forget it this time, after the third time. Driving home, I realized that yet again, I had no idea what it had said. Go figure.

The truth as I see it is that is a number of law enforcement officers stand by Noreen’s account. I take their word over yours. That Noreen may or may not have breached any settlement between you does not affect my belief in her integrity.

Also of note — You also do not note that there are a variety of damages I may now claim — not just the rather niche non-pecunairy type. Indeed the settlement agreement that the U.S. court said Noreen Renier breached provides full reimbursement of all legal costs — which will likely exceed $50,000 alone just for mine and another estimated $60,000 for Renier’s — even before additional damages of the type I seek. Renier’s portrayal of events before the public have not always been accurate or without exaggeration — just as your limited portrayal of the facts provides a skewed assessment of what has occurred.

I mentioned this in my first blog post about the UFO, but after I saw it I Googled “star-shaped UFO” and immediately got a result that exactly matched my UFO’s shape:

The difference is I saw mine in broad daylight and it appeared black against the blue sky. I believe it passed nearly over my house, at around 1000 feet. I had a very good look at it. Surprisingly good, when I think about it.

Anyway, my sighting is from 1975 or 1976, a matte black chevron if that is the stylized shape of the communicator in ST:TNG, hovering silently. I’ve posted it on the NUFORC site. I would agree “not extra-terrestrial” but then I’ve been told that the US military did not have aircraft that could hover silently at that time!
